25th April

Anzac day - no sign of it here - Bernie walks easily to the pool - she is pleased.

We share the pool with the snorkel equipped pool attendant as he vacuums the floor of the pool - he surfaces from time to time - he is cautious of collision with the lapping swimmer.

We take breakfast slowly - we watch the people - the clientele just a little older than earlier days - most late thirties - plenty of tattoos - couples of all gender combinations and physical makeups - pot bellies not in short supply - plenty of clientele that clearly have no access to appropriate mirrors by  which they could obtain an idea of the what they look like to others.

We look at the entertainment  board - some trivia - some crab races - a walk to the microwave tower - kokoda making - Bernie shows some interest in the latter!

Back to the room - we know how to relax now!

Today's leavers are about to depart - they are collected in the reception area and farewell begins - serenades - a group of 10 staff - practiced - accomplished - the leavers applaud.

The day overcast but pleasant - An ice cream - overlooking the sea - enjoy.

Back to the room - danger is not around the corner - it is the doorway! - Bernie's first slip since the surgery - a lost of concentration - a 10 mm step at the door way - she lunges forward - thank goodness it is where it is! - her hands contact the bathroom wall - she is saved! - we both thank our lucky stars and resolve to redouble our determination to be careful.
